Look Under Your Bed
Look under your bed, the spiders are sleeping,
Their legs curled tight in the silence, creeping.
Whispers of silk, spun thick and unseen,
Resting in corners where shadows lean.
Their eyes, like glass, hold a thousand dreams,
Woven through webs where darkness gleams.
Each thread a secret, each thread a lie,
Waiting for nightfall to spread and fly.
Don’t stir too loudly, don’t make a sound,
For under the bed, they’re safe and bound.
Breathe softly, child, and let them be.
The spiders sleep where you cannot see.
