Longing for Home

It's been a long time,

Since I left my home.

I wanna go back there;

Before this lifetime ends.

.

The streets of the countryside,

Whisper a story of time.

A desire has awaken to walk in the cobble path and ground

In the city of mine.

.

I want to return to the street

Where my past, present, and future will meet.

Take me back to my beloved place,

Under the endless sky, through time and space.

.

Among the grounds and gardens where scholars wander,

I left my heart there to ponder.

I've roamed the world, but here's what I find

A tranquil heart with peace of mind.

.

In every lane, the secrets are kept,

Memories of those who've wept.

Take me back,

Where my heart refrains and sings a song,

That's where my true self remains and I belong.
