shaky hand on paper
a quaking river later
and it's a long way home
writing letters
passing phones
just talking to yourself
you wonder if they wonder while you
wander around
losing voices
faces
falling
lost
on country ground
night falls
stars high
the feeling inside
no longer an echo within the sigh
she calls and she calls and she calls
beautiful stranger to yourself
living well for yourself
listening to yourself
loving yourself
knowing there's no one else
no place
quite like you
it started as a shaky hand on paper
a quaking river later
and you found it's not such a long ways
home
