Lonely for someone

This piece inspired by the search for understanding self and the role, it has or will play, in past and future relationships. Also with a hint of misguided thought patterns that soon become the demise of relationships in general.

I need to be lonesome

Not lonesome like lonely

Rather alone and wholesome

I've searched to find wholly

Derived from pairing with someone

Only to find myself lonely like lonesome

Such a journey quite cumbersome

A test of strength immensely

Feelings of achieving wholesome

Succumb to pressures of being solely

Although wants of family like wholesome

Have intruded so deeply its hard to overcome

Yet daily and weekly the will to be lonely

Rejects the want to find wholly in someone

I've come to believe that lonely like lonesome

Is the only way to achieve wholly like wholesome

I dear succumb to the relative reality

That without lonely like lonesome

I will always lack understanding truly

Voids that can only be fulfilled through ME.
