Lonely and lost, I stand in the dark,
Longing for love, but missing the mark.
Lingering in silence, with no one to speak,
Listening to echoes, that seem to creak.
Longing for someone, to hold my hand,
Leaning on emptiness, across the land.
Looking for a light, in the depths of despair,
Losing my mind, with a bleak stare.
Loneliness lingers, like a loathsome leech,
Loudly it laughs, my heart it does breach.
Leaving me stranded, with nothing but pain,
Lamenting my despair, in a life mundane.
Lonesome and low, I search for a friend,
Longing for company, until the very end.
Lulled by the moon, and the stars above,
Looking for hope, and a little bit of love.
