Lockdown dreams
A reflection of what got me through
There was a time when it all seemed lost
Every bad hour would always last all day
The world lacked any colour, always grey
Even sunny days felt inside of frost
*
The truth is I left myself double crossed
Another night another filled ashtray
As days kept falling away feeling tossed
Going through the bottle like a buffet
*
Stuck inside but knowing what it could cost
Just wishing there could be another way
The world had become a lonely ballet
It seemed everyone had lost their accost
*
The mirror reflected a white shadow
That I once felt I needed to accept
Then a discovery to help me grow
The world would become anew as I slept
*
Recording adventures my afterglow
Within them I saw the pain that I wept
But also freedom from reality
*
The old worries became so carefree
My dreams so confusing yet refreshing
It became my cold winter cup of tea
And now the end of the day a blessing
*
I no longer need dreams to feel less slow
As my life no longer feels so windswept
But dear reader, I hope you do agree
*
To appreciate what filled your dark hole
Will always elevate your inner soul
About the Creator
Hywel Latimyr
I kinda suck at writing but I enjoy it
Anyway, here's a dumb little haiku:
The gunslinger draws
His opponent does the same
oh dear, they both died
