Lock and Key
A Poem on Rebuilding Broken Trust
One of a human being's most insurmountable challenges is to trust someone. It can be difficult to blame people for the sentiment because broken trust is difficult to rebuild, or find. I speak from unfortunate, recent experience.
Yet, it is a necessary cog in the squeaky and sometimes difficult-to-revolve wheel of relationships. And, it has to be mutual for them to function well.
But, how do we rebuild or find lost trust? There are steps (as there are for everything), and can be done, but it's by no means a breeze. we cannot trivialize relationships.
Everyone involved has to be willing to put their cards on the table, of course, and communicate honestly. It's also necessary for them to acknowledge that boundaries have to be in place for the relationship to move forward. And, of course, there has to be a commitment to keeping promises.
Despite this, fixing a broken lock and key is no mean feat. Enjoy these senryus.
Broken lock and key
Shattered, rusted and scattered
Pieces hard to fit
Broken lock hard to pry
Must ask frankly to open
Refitted with time
Broken lock will open
With constant, gentle pressure
Within a tightened space.

Interesting and delicious content, keep posting more.
I'm the kinda person that doesn't even trust someone who hasn't broken my trust. So if someone breaks my trust, there's no way in hell I'll ever trust them again. Loved your SenryusA
As usual you give us things to ponder with your commentary and sentries. Well done!!👍😻
