Low Latent Inhibition, hard to describe, not officially recognized.
Heightened vision, watching the sun ride the horizon, as though I have been hypnotized.
Overstimulated ears, putting in the effort of a lifetime to function in society. It's taken years to focus my listening. Honing in on one thing so I'm not overwhelmed by the broad variety.
Taste, smell, and touch are complicated. Sensations I've felt before should be boring and overlooked. Yet the data in my brain has completely vacated.
Experiencing familiar environments as though they are new. For example, I'm often staring at the sky as though I've never seen the colour, blue.
Is it because of LLI that each colour of the wheel creates a specific feeling?Red is bold and piercing. Unlike some, I am not reminded of bleeding. Instead, I smell the faint scent of cherries and the next time I may taste the flavour of strawberries.
Green is fuzzy and earthy. Some may imagine a forest and foliage. So how is it that I can literally hear wind blow through blades of grass even though i am sitting in class recieving my professor's knowledge.
Orange is warm and energetic. It hints for people to think of the fruit. But for me, my nostrils feel like electric. I smell the citrus, it is sour and brut.
White is pure and blank. The emptiness of the page you would think could calm my mind, and yet my body panics, because empty space is non-exisistent. My brain. It is not that kind.
Searching. Searching. Searching.
Every corner and crevice filled. Black ink has been repeatedly spilled.
Unerasable.
Unescapable.
This...Low Latent Inhibition.
This...LLI.
To put it simply. There are too many stimuli.
