Living The Best Day
For my friend and pro Lacrosse player-Aaron Bold
There is a man I know whose wife’s anniversary she could not make,
Because cancer decided to end her life but not decide her fate.
We have all seen it before, life being taken away,
A constant reminder that we are not here to stay.
Yet Aaron Bold cherishes all the memories and time,
Making love his most unequitable crime.
He used her death to empower us all,
That no matter how bad we fall,
We can get up and carry on
Even when it feels our dreams are gone.
If loving one after death is an intrusion,
We can come to only one conclusion,
Aaron did not wish to love his wife
For the rest of her life,
But rather for the rest of his,
And that is not all he has to give.
He teaches us to live our fullest each day,
And to make the perfect day every day.
