Living Shadows

Life of a big cat is many situations

They roam the lands both spotted and striped,

Keeping their cool no matter how hyped.

With nary a care for the land they trudge through,

They move with a goal that they must see come through.

Winding around a path that is far less driven,

Presents them an edge that nature has given.

No one can see the moment they arrive,

Helping that to make a living and thrive.

Quickly a flash of life sends all running in fear,

For teeth are flashing just behind their rear.

Soon a scream brings out a chilling silence,

Which causes all to realize nature's true science.

A goal finally met brings a temporary reward,

Since they cannot rest, or forever be bored.

Such is the life of one who lives in the shadows,

For they aren't active, they'll forever embrace the gallows.
