Living Rainbows

As I look at the rainbow above my parents home, I see a reflection of myself.

I am the red that symbolizes love. The love that was necessary for my creation, spanning generations.

I am the orange and yellow of my favourite fruits, which flavours and brightens the world.

I am the green of ripe vegetable that fuel my family table, from the fruits of labour.

I am the blue of sadness. The sadness of our history as human beings.

I am the silent strength of UV, that we cannot see but know is everywhere.

But above all else, I am one of many, yet I am unique.

While our sight may be limited to a wavelength of hues, our potential is unlimited.

It takes a rainbow of cultures to find evolution.

It takes diversity to balance society.

I am a conglomeration of ideals and possibilities.

Above all else, I am grateful.

But as for my pride, it comes from the variety of others who impact my perception.

Together, we are a Raibow of Love and Potential.
