Living Nightmare
“Waking Dream”
Click clack, the keys float as the words appear.
Begin to swirl I start to twirl my life.
It spins around my mind in a sudden
tick-tock the clock it goes around in time.
Swish swoosh, a dream it floats distant memory.
A past is here amidst my mind tortured.
Stinging me from inside and so hurting
is my good side because my false nightmare.
Drip-drop, the sound of blood it rings out loud.
It drowns my fears cascade my tears they’re yours
and yours are mine drip-drop tick-tock swish-swoosh,
Click-clack I wake sweat breaks around my neck.
I’m back, you’re here with me although I called
you, my nightmare. When you were my hero.
Thank you, for you and you for me because
you are my dream and they were my nightmare.
