She used to play with dolls and toys
then later searched to play with boys
her heart broke, into the heart came a whole
empty, broken unable to find a place to call home
She would seek and search but still laid bare
A little girl had become an older girl
Though in her heart she longed for more
She'd settled for just the smallest joys
The guy, the job, and so much more
To fly and soar is what she craved
The older girl becomes full grown
She learns to fight with love and joy
Helping others who also long to soar
She lets go
She spreads her wings not looking back
Realizing the little girl is now full grown

This journey sparked a nostalgic moment as I recalled a poem I penned in 2009, featured in my book "Supreme Reign Love Redefined." Although the poem was excluded when the book was condensed, I retain the sole copy. Upon withdrawing my contract with Authorhouse, I opted to remove it. Yet, I'm delighted to share that the book has since been republished under the New York Times Bestseller, JL King. Little did I know then that I would venture into creating a lingerie line or navigating the world of grant writing. Time truly flies when you're immersed in passion.

Book Review: "No Logo" by Naomi Klein
Naomi Klein is no doubt, a huge author and you're going to be quite surprised about the fact that I have actually barely read anything by her though I am aware of her existence. Her book No Logo is recommended reading in the book The Inner Level by Professors Richard Wilkinson and Kate Pickett and is about the way brands have aggressively waded themselves into every aspect of our existence.
