Little Birds

Little Birds

Do little birds, on summer mornings, feel the pull and

Ignore it?

Singing happy songs to cover up

Their desire to stay abed.

Racing around the trees, searching

After happiness.

Choosing to fight against

That little voice

Inside their heads.

Or do they really feel the cheer their

Noise expresses?
