You reckless heart, made of gold,

Realize that it is old.

They see you open, being bold,

Just to cut you out, so cold.

So listen heart, be stone,

You will make it on your own.

You are so quick to let them in,

Not that it is such a sin.

But they will rip you from within’,

Not thinking twice about your whim.

Change, before things unfold,

You lovely heart made of gold.

It is time to be bold,

And let yourself be alone.

Don’t forget to be stone,

No giving chance to be bare.

Listen carefully to theirs,

It is not like splitting hairs.

Focusing for them to bear,

Their open heart, so rare.

Until then, be cold.

Emotions off, so bold.

Standing strong, be lone,

With your broken heart made of stone.

It is not hard to be alone,

So listen heart, be stone.

Until it is time for you to glow,

And be the heart made of gold.
