Gone
The heartbeat of first love
The wail of love lost

All gone in a flash
What can be done about it?
Nothing
Those sounds are but echoes

Listen!
A new sound
The here and now
The wind in the trees,
The waves on the shore
Whoosh!
Your current breathing
Ahhh!
Your present heartbeat
Ba-thump!
The music of your life
IS happening
What now?
Make new sounds
Do something
ANYTHING!
Chant, whisper, sing, yell,
"I am here,
I am alive,
I am listening!"
