the only way to let go of something is to let yourself feel it

so you lay on that bathroom floor and sob out your broken heart

crying as many tears as you need

to the point that there's no more left

feeling emotionless thats it tears you from the inside out

but you know it will pass.

and you will survive.

and know that you have the power

at any point, to pick yourself off that bathroom floor

and look in the mirror.

you have the power to wipe away those tears

to reveal your color filled eyes.

let yourself be your own hero.

you've survived up until now

every hard, long battle you thought would never pass it did.

and this too, shall pass.
