Feather in the wind

Swirling on currents, lifted high

A life remembered holding close

To family members still earthly tied

***

The anniversary has come along

Since life departed and alone am I

Watching children of my earthly soul

Hands clasped together, heads bent and cry

***

Emotional turmoil from the great beyond

I watch them with spirit eyes

Ghostly arms outstretched

To hold them close and ease their pain

***

When lonely and struggling with life

And my children need a parents love

In a feather’s guise, I gently drift

Once more into their sightline

***

I float upon a summer’s breeze

Turning gently to catch the light,

Of their imagination, their emotions imbued

Their soul becalmed and spirits lift
