Lighten the Dark Room

A poem on regret

Regret. We should have said more of this, or done more of that.

Each of us has baggage that we need to release, and our own dark  rooms.

We store our negativity and regrets in these rooms. How can we get rid of the clutter and lighten the dark room?

With a little self-love, acceptance, forgiveness of self, determination and        shift of perspective,

Space

No light

Filled with boxes

Of woeful tales untold

Mournful songs unsung.

Sunrise

Light of self-acceptance

Parts the curtains

Light flows into

Space abandoned

From the window

In the darkened room

View the tree of life

The sunrise peeks through

The branches

An

Hour glass

Sits by

The window

Sands flow

slowly

But persistently

As the light

Flows in.

And the space

transforms

with brightness.
