This is the gospel of stillness:

that something gentle

can also be certain.

That light, unfiltered,

still finds you.

Light does not rush,

it arrives.

Mercy is the quiet movement in the sun.

I dip a finger in,

as ripples orbit around my touch.

Drawing a line, pulling down

exposing the chest of the sea,

then tracing its lips with my fingertips.

The way it touches back, is an offering.

That is Forgiveness.
