LightLight

A lifetime of darkness, changed by the light

LightLight

Morning touched the shattered floor

Soft gold moved through every door

After years of endless strain

Warmth returned through pouring rain

I stood awake beside the glass

Watching old disasters pass

Birdsong carried through the air

Lifting sorrow from despair

The sky opened wide above

Filling empty rooms with love

Every step felt strong again

No more chained by fear within

Hands reached out instead of harm

Pulling me from every storm

Eyes once cold began to care

Leaving truth instead of fear

The street no longer looked so gray

Children laughed along the way

Music drifted through the night

Turning darkness into light

I found strength beneath old scars

Healing came through distant stars

Every wound began to close

Like a dying winter rose

The silence finally felt kind

No more chaos in my mind

Peace arrived without disguise

Shining clear before my eyes

Now I hold my head up high

Watching brighter seasons rise

Even after years of pain

Light still calls my soul again
