Life’s Shenanigans

Life woke up late today,
wearing yesterday’s shoes
and carrying tomorrow in a bag.

My plans ran away.

My worries stayed for breakfast.

The moon arrived before sunset,
three stars fell into my garden,
and my shadow asked for a day off.

I asked Life,
“Do you ever make sense?”

It laughed.

So I laughed too.

Perhaps that is the secret,
not understanding the madness,
but dancing through it
before the music stops.
