Life through closing aperture

Once upon a full moon

By TraceyPublished 4 years ago • 1 min read
Orbs of light photographed by the author

Arising from the depths of nothing I feel the pull and shove of vibration

Sensing a ghost in my room, not quite my room

I hear a powerful cacophony of noises whizzing and burring in my head

While golden light pulses throughout this (not my) room

My mind tries to make sense of the intense energies in and around me

My body feels the strong arms of my nephew pull me to sitting

A myriad of little orbs float and dance in the air before me and perch

upon the (not my) wardrobe, cosy and watchful in the warm lamp light

As I marvel at two spinning orbs all multicoloured and nestled in my bed

I see my nephew, all boy like self, disappear beyond a closing aperture

Calling, I call him, helplessly as it closes leaving me in quiet darkness

Awake, in awe, in sad knowledge that this once boy is gone
