Life's Sweet Gestures

Still my favorite but hard to find

Remembering fondly from childhood over and over.

The pillowy softness and toasted sweet cover.

Those flecks of coconut slivers with the nutty flavor.

The center was fluffy, light, and with a chewy bite.

Never would I attempt eating more than one at a time.

It was a small treat with no expectations or design.

Given out the kindness of their heart to mine

The memory it carries from my youth.

Loving grandparents at its roots.

Always a surprise.

Hidden away from small hands and curious eyes.

A sweet gesture.

The puffy little squares and slight crunchy texture.

A delectable treat in such a tiny size.
