Life’s Common Senses

the smell I love most,

to which I give a toast,

is that of frying bacon;

shall never walk in,

a busy kitchen,

and ask ya”what ya makin”,

and,

the sight I see,

so comforting to me,

is a mountain majesty,

reaching high, toward the sky,

that’s where I love to be,

and then,

a comforting touch,

can mean so much,

to those who need consoled,

a loss, a pain, seeking hope in vain,

to overcome fears untold;

plus,

a whisper of courage,

in a wavering ear,

so much needed to hear,

breeding strength within,

finding hope again,

overcoming a fear;

so,

to taste the merits,

of all the above,

each sense safely common,

with undaunted love;

the bacon, the mountain,

the fears untold,

touching each soul,

as lives unfold.

Thank you for reading, if this touched a soul, give a smile.

    I love how you tied every sense together at the end. "All lives unfold" indeed. Well crafted!
