We’re taxed to work, we’re taxed to play
Who set this up to be this way
We’re taxed to eat, we’re taxed to drive
It’s such a challenge to survive
We’re taxed in Vegas if we win
Yet, they say “GAMBLING” is the sin
They tax our earning’s, thru and thru
So what’s the point of sales tax too
Our property is taxed each year
We’re told it’s just another tier
Since State tax follows this same script
Then aren’t we being double-dipped
Now Unemployment’s how I live
Still, IRS says I must give
This “benefit” has me annoyed
The funds are taxed while unemployed
Our income’s taxed so many ways
A second job now hardly pays
Inheritance that you may see
Well, even that won’t be tax free
