to overcome my loneliness and aloofness

You are more precious to me than a thousand victories, sweeter to my heart, and the source of all global glory.

vanquish my defiance, my self-awareness, and

Through you, I am reminded that I am still young and agile, and that I should avoid being caught up in wilting glories. In you, I have discovered solitude.

and the delight of ridicule and rejection

my defeat, loss

I have read that to be enthroned is to be enslaved, to be understood is to level down, to be grasped is only to reach one's fullness, and that to fall and be consumed like a ripe fruit to fall and be consumed defeat my defeat my bold companion you shall hear my songs and my cries and my silences and none but you shall speak to me of the beating of wings and the urging of seas and of mountains that burn in the night

You will be the only one who can ascend my high and rocky soul and vanquish my deathless courage.

will laugh with the storm, together we'll build graves for everyone who passes away from us, we'll stand in the sun with the will, and we'll be dangerous.

Tell me not in such gloomy figures.

Life is nothing more than a dream since the soul is asleep and things are not as they seem.

Since the tomb is not the aim of life, it is true that "thou art to dust returnest" was not said of the soul.

Our intended outcome is to act so that each tomorrow finds us in a better place than today rather than to enjoy ourselves or be sad.

Be not like dumb driven cattle in the bivwhack of life, because art is long and time is short, and though our hearts are strong and valiant, they nonetheless beat funeral marches to the cemetery on the vast field of war that is the globe.

becoming a hero in the conflict

Trust no future, our good; let the dead past rest in peace; and let the dead operate in the living present, the heart within, and God above.

the sagas of mighty men all serve as a reminder that we have the power to make our lives magnificent, and that when we leave this world, we leave behind footprints in the sands of time, which perhaps another person sailing through life's melancholy ocean or a lonely brother looking upon will give them hope once again.

So let's get moving with a heart for whatever future we could yet be accomplishing or chasing.

learn to wait and to labor

If you can remain calm when everyone else is losing theirs and blaming it on you, if you can trust yourself when everyone else doubts you but allow for their doubting as well, if you can wait without getting tired of waiting, if you can avoid lying, if you can avoid lying, if you can avoid being hated, and if you can avoid looking too good or talking too wise,

If you can dream without making dreams your master, if you can think without making thoughts your goal, if you can encounter success and failure and treat them as equal imposters, if you can tolerate having the truth you have spoken twisted by knaves to set traps for fools, or if you can bear to see the things you have dedicated your life to being destroyed and then stoop to repair them using worn-out tools, if you could pool all of your winnings into one pile and stake it

If neither enemies nor loving friends can harm you, if all men depend on you, but not too much, if you can cover the unforgiving minute's worth of space while running, then you will be a man, my son. Yours is the world and all on it, and what's more, you will be a man.

out of the darkness that surrounds me

The pit from the pole is dark. a pole

I give thanks to whatever gods there may be for my invincible spirit.

I have not winced or wept out loud in the face of the unfortunate circumstances.

My skull is bloodied but unbowed from the beatings of chance.

The terror of the shade [Music] and yet the threat of the years seeks and shall find me fearless it matters not how strait the gate how filled with penalties the scroll is beyond this region of anger and weeping.

I am in control of my destiny.

I'm the leader of my

soul

Go calmly among the commotion in the rush

As much as possible, maintain your ability to speak your truth in silence while remaining on good terms with everyone. Listen to others—even the dull and the ignorant—as they too have stories to tell. Avoid loud and aggressive people as they are destructive to the spirit.

Since there will always be people better and worse than you, don't compare yourself to others or you can become conceited or resentful. Instead, take pride in your accomplishments and your ambitions.

Maintain interest in your own career notwithstanding how little it may be since it is a valuable asset in the shifting tides of time.

Exercise cautious in your business dealings since the world is full of tricks, but don't allow this prevent you from seeing the nobility that exists; many people aspire to lofty goals, and bravery can be found everywhere. [Music]

Be yourself, especially. Do not pretend to be affectionate or cynical about love. Love is as enduring as grass, regardless of myridity or disillusionment.

Take kindly to the wisdom of age, giving up the things of youth with grace, and cultivate your soul to protect you against unforeseen disaster. However, avoid worrying yourself with pessimistic thoughts.

Many anxieties originate from exhaustion and loneliness [Music]

Be kind to oneself above and beyond wholesome discipline [Music]

You have the same cosmic parentage as the trees and the stars.

You have a right to be here, and whether or not it is apparent to you, there is no question that the world is developing as it ought to. As a result, you should be at peace with god, whatever you understand him to be, as well as with your labors and desires in the clamorous complexity of life.

Despite all of its fake drudgery and crushed hopes, the world is still lovely, so keep your spirit at peace.

Be positive and try to be joyful.
