A conversation between life and death

Hello, I am where it all begins.

Nice to meet you. I am where it all ends.

I’m every breath they take through this world they pass.

I represent what they see when they’ve taken their last.

I’m the fragile you could lose in the blink of an eye.

I’m well aware. That loss leads to me and then they all cry.

When I’m active blood courses through the vein skin deep.

Well when I’m around that blood and vein is buried six feet.

I am life and you’re death.

Correct. What the soul finds when the body has nothing left.

It’s strange that this is how we see each other.

Not so much. When you really think about it we’re brothers.

How when one is beginning and the other is end?

Because we both share a lifeline. We’re really old friends.
