Life Amongst The Rain Drops

Dancing with the Rain

As I wake up in the morning to hike through the forest I am greeted by the dew

I can smell the wet earth as it drinks up this source of nourishment sent from the clouds above

The sun glistens and the sparkle brings out the beauty and magic of the blooming flowers and trees

As we gather up our things we go to get some water from the nearest spring It's alluring vibe makes me forget the cold it hides

The taste is so pure and soft because it comes from Mother Nature the song she sung last night brings me so much pleasure

So I reach for some buckets and put them outside my cabin's door I anticipate the rain all day as I know there will be some more

I think to myself of the clinking and clanging I will hear it reminds me of beating a steel drum maybe later I can dance in the rain when my day is done

You can come and dance too if you want to have some fun

About the Creator

J.W. Baird

Who Am I?

I keep asking myself. I spent half of my life as a single mother. Pushing myself to be the strong independent individual that I have always been. My kids have grown and my life seems turned upside down.

I now search to find myself!
