Library's Song

A poem by Lilac Winds

By Lilac WindsPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

The library, full of books.

The wise and old books, songs full of memories.

The reckless and young books, songs full of hope.

Fantasy books with their songs of obstacles,

nonfiction books with their orchestra of facts,

romance books with their harmony of love,

and mystery books, with their melody of thought.

Holding worlds inside their pages,

with each one unique.

The library is a symphony,

and your life has a song of it's own.

As an infant to child, your song builds up,

as a teen the beat drops,

as an adult the chorus sings.

Each up and down, a different verse,

until you finally grow old

and your song slows down

before fading away

with barely a sound.
