LIBIDO

FAITHE HALTTE

My land to him is not concealed

Yet to him it is obscure

Discreetly unfamiliarized

Yet his love he appealed

I assured him, the touch is real

Our bodies to each other remain outlandish

I assured him, the fire is real

We now watch the ashes vanish

I assured him the ardor is real

Let us not lose our libido

We lost it to the same demon

He closed his eyes and I vanished like a seaman

An explorer of worlds,

An explorer of swirls,

A black hole for love, if I dive therein

Will I soak It all in?
