Lay down or just sit
When you find yourself stuck in a pit
Whenever exhaustion hit
Close your eyes
Until your hearing is gone
You do it every night when the TV is on
Now think about the person you want to be
In another place, a world that only you can see
Then let the mind wander
It's much easier to do in the rain and thunder
Look now you had escaped
Without a trace
Didn't even have to run at a fast pace
If they find you, just keep your eyes closed
Re-center yourself back in the happy place
Eventually, they will get out of your space
And try to keep a straight face
They will think you are praying
Then realize you are not listening to a word they are saying
If you get really good at it you can do it with your eyes open
Some call it daydreaming
Its just an escape for a certain reason
Be careful though, it can be replaced with overthinking
It takes practice, you will get better at it
