Let's Get Into It Now

There's a time to talk, and a time not to.

At such an ungodly time, you've chosen to bring things up

As if there weren't enough things to worry about without missing sleep

So sorry that you feel like someone else has to fill your cup

Because most of this would most certainly till tomorrow, keep

So let us get into it right here and now

Because that's the only way to keep you from being a pain

And then what you are talking about deserves my unfettered, wow

Because it does little more than reinforce that you're clinically insane

From a decade ago, you're still holding onto that issue

While others have decided to go on and live their life

You're choosing to be this trainwreck needing a tissue

As you sit there sobbing, the tension is cuttable with a knife

For all the things that have come and gone

You finally have pushed that last of my buttons, my dear

I'm as batshit crazy as you, so you've won

I'm sleeping somewhere else until you deal with the devil in your ear

We need to talk in the daylight

And not in the middle of our slumber hours

Because all it does is cause us to eventually fight

Because the devil whispers things with his powers

And you listen to the dumbest of people every day

Because they have no life of their own

You need to just let me step away

Because you've irritated me to my very bone

We needed to do this another time, dear friend

But you can't seem to understand the world is not all about you

This is why so many others have told you that you were at an end

Because repeatedly, this is what you do
