In the scorching heat of summer’s rage
Lies a danger, a deadly page
The sun beats down with unrelenting might
And all around, the world is alight
The air is thick with a stifling heat
And every breath feels like defeat
The land is parched, the rivers run dry
As the merciless sun rules the sky
The leaves on trees, they wilt and fall
The earth cracks open, a desperate call
For water, for relief, for respite from pain
But the sun shows no mercy, it only brings strain
In this lethal summer, we must take heed
And protect ourselves, in every need
Stay indoors, stay in the shade
And drink plenty of water, don’t be afraid
For though the summer may be lethal and harsh
We can still find ways to escape its march
And when the cooler days of fall arrive
We’ll look back on this summer and survive
The world may seem barren, a desert land
But life still persists, in ways unplanned
The insects buzz, the birds still sing
And the flowers bloom, a fleeting thing
It’s in the hottest fires that we learn to grow
And in the bleakest deserts that life finds a flow
So let us embrace this lethal summer’s test
And emerge stronger, with hearts at rest
For though the sun may scorch and burn
We will rise up, and we will learn
To persevere, to endure, to survive
And thrive in the face of this lethal summer’s strife.
