LET ME DRIFT AWAY

If I meet an accident and die

Would you sit and cry?

Would over to me you rush

As the blood out shall gush.

Calling amongst the crowd my name

Would you race, your eyes may blame

Would I catch the fleeting fear?

In your eyes, as death comes near.

Blood pounding in your ears

Would you give way to tears?

Dare you hold my feeble hand?

As I lie down, to week to stand?

If you do not confess your love

While death lingers on above

No reason shall be left to stay.

For my peace let me drift away.
