A Poem

There is an acorn in my pocket

The size of a little song

With a shower of love

A tree to grow before too long

Little leaves of a future's past

And tomorrow's heart

The leaves, they will be a' singing.

With a halo on the horizon

Before too long the acorn

Will become the trumpet's song

Singing come all ye faithful

See the umbrella walk along?

For umbrella's walk

Don't you know and

When acorns sing a song

Brave men too, come along.

Little church of city streets

Won't you plant a tree

To shine on truth?

Can't you hear the singing

As leaves sway in time with nature

Nurture's promise

Of the little church to glorious fruit

Sing a song oh ye faithful,

Of heartbeats in the air

Where rainbowed chakras

Keep rhyme and

Acorns sing to fair

Oh, all ye faithful

Plant a tree, say a prayer.

Oh, little town

Did I hear you say?

That the song of the mighty acorn

Makes hearts fly

To rainbows across the sun.

Heavenly friend, can you see me now?

Yes, I do, with Gabriel

Fluttering winds hear sacred fruit

Trees aplenty

Make more acorns too

Oh, little church someday you will know

That the cow really did jump over the moon

And the spirits bowed too

Oh, little church won't you have your say?

See the acorn growing

Or is it my heart to pray.

Subtle echos of the power of nature and of us, when we learn to live with it. A beautiful poem.
