Left in Waiting

A heart's fire and the silence of absence

By Rohitha LankaPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

The master did not come

He left in the morning and night

He left with his head in his hands

He left me hanging from the pole

He left, saying that he would come soon

Seven days passed

Many people came and went

Some with tears

He left looking at my face

Today has passed

He left without hunger

Keeping the fire burning in my heart

I am the one who is coming
