Ink collects

at the tip.

It blots onto the sheet

as I write.

***

It smears on my hand

as I write across

the page.

***

It happens when ideas

formulate

then become distraction

as I write.

***

I waste time

rewriting from smudges.

I waste time

battling this ink crime.

***

Finally, I give up,

ideas unresolved,

ideas lost

to a leaking pen.

It make a mess

over the words

I write.
