Lavender Haze

(Villanelle)

By AnonPublished 3 years ago β€’ 1 min read

I close my eyes and see a lavender haze,

in my mind's eye that takes me to a mysterious place,

leaving me in a daze.

There’s a certain time and place, where I need to escape the mundane and life’s craze,

and go to a peaceful and serene atmosphere with grace,

I close my eyes and see a lavender haze.

πŸ’œβœ§ο½₯゚: *πŸŸͺπŸ’Ÿ

The shifting lavender haze always leaves me in amaze,

different shades are either radiant or muted, luminescent in their making, a unique array,

leaving me in a daze.

πŸ’œβœ§ο½₯゚: *πŸŸͺπŸ’Ÿ

The lavender haze reminds me of raw amethyst, blueberries and cream, pansies in a vase,

aromatic aster, traipsing in a lavender field, purple lionfish, in all its ways,

I close my eyes and see a lavender haze.

πŸ’œβœ§ο½₯゚: *πŸŸͺπŸ’Ÿ

When it comes to the haze, it’s lavender, but certain colors shift like periwinkle, magenta, or mauve, depending on the phase,

perhaps a splash of gold or blue will be present, or a kaleidescope of hues, depending on the day,

leaving me in a daze.

πŸ’œβœ§ο½₯゚: *πŸŸͺπŸ’Ÿ

So whenever I need to escape,

to a mysterious place, a peaceful and serene atmosphere with grace,

I close my eyes and see a lavender haze,

leaving me in a daze.
