His step-father, the very embodiment of the decay consuming the world, was also the only one he could offer as a sacrifice. The thought tore at his soul, but he knew it was the only way to save what little remained of humanity.

With grim determination, Victor confronted his stepfather in the heart of the zombie stronghold. The air was thick with tension as their gazes locked—a son torn between duty and love, a step-father lost to the hunger for power.

In a moment of clarity, fueled by desperation and love, Victor uttered the words of the ancient ritual.
