Lament of the Sea

Echoes Across the Tides

By Eliani SuarezPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

Beneath the moon's soft gaze, where waves collide,

There echoes a lament, deep and wide,

A melody sung by the restless sea,

In whispers carried on the breeze so free.

Lament of the sea, a mournful song,

Of ancient tales and ships now gone,

Of sailors lost to the ocean's embrace,

Their memories drifting, leaving no trace.

Each cresting wave, a sigh of longing,

Each ebbing tide, a sorrowful yearning,

For shores left behind, for loves unknown,

In the vast expanse where dreams are sown.

Listen closely to the sea's lament,

In its depths, secrets are often spent,

Of storms weathered and battles fought,

Of treasures sought and lessons taught.

In the silence of night, when stars align,

The sea's lament becomes divine,

A symphony of echoes across the tides,

Where sorrow and solace gently collide.

So heed the call of the sea's lament,

Let it stir your soul, let it invent,

A tale of resilience, a journey far,

In the rhythm of waves, where mysteries are.
