Lake Fear

In the throws of its largeness

Does come the realities of it's never ending madness

And even though there's a failure to whimper forever

It sets upon one with such fervor as to create a sadness

Unseen force of something so powerfully icky

Weighs down upon ones mind with permanence approaching tomorrow

Even the horror of the odor of something so vile permeates the senses

And leaves the burdened with such unmistakeable sorrow

There is but one light at the end of such a story

And even it causes anxiousness and trepepedation to grow

Because in the light of that day things still appear swallowed by the nothing

And the otherside of that day is a destination deep down, we just don't know

Deep inside the nether, where the monsters of imagination lie in wait

It's massive, unshakable hands reach out to take their prize

And none have returned to tell the tail

At least none that told us without it sounding like lies

Because until that day comes for each and every one

The value in what is had is still sullied by ignorance and disrespect

Until it's presence is felt deep inside your bones

Do you stop and look back, and quietly reflect

To know that the end of time is right upon you

Creates a big and stinky lake of emotions so strong

There is no escaping the lady of this lake, not in this time

You'll find yourself swimming it it, before too long

And as it surrounds you from head to toe, a feeling inside

It becomes more real with each and every day

To place to run and no place to hide or escape to

It was always going to go this way
