Labor Day is a federally recognized holiday. The regular businesses that close on recognized holidays are closed tomorrow. Some things that happened prior to Labor Day were riots for work hour changes, and worker treatment, and unions came into being.
We now have 40-hour work weeks, some places have 32 hours to work, and still there are places where employees work less hours for the company to not have to pay benefits.
Labor Day came about to recognize workers, and all the contributions made to society. Many consider Labor Day, the end of summer. School is back in session right before or soon after.
Labor Day is tomorrow. Let's celebrate the day.
And parent's day is when the kids are all back to school
Better days come from celebrating the day we are in
Or being grateful for a three-day weekend, by claiming a holiday
Reminders of past Septembers bring back just how short life can be
Decide to have your best day ever. Or at least your best today.
As living a long time is not a guarantee
Yet, we can make the most of our lives for this labor day!
It is the beginning of Autumn in September
Grandparents day is on the thirteenth and any day
with grandchildren is a celebration to remember.
September 22, is the first official day of fall they say
Although it feels close right now and it is okay
with me. I love the fall season and have forever.
The harvest, and prepping for winter, and
the leaves turning beautiful colors of reds,
and yellows, and orange on the trees on this land
I love all the seasons, and have no dread
for the beauty of winter. I just prepare and
no that because my mother and sister are dead
and they died in the fall that their will be pain and
memories that will come flashing back.
Back to school soon - Labor Day
Is fall here? Be glad it is not snowing.
Almost fall, there is time yet to play
Time to stop mowing.
We expected a daughter and her family
Friday. But our daughter got sick
They won't be up. And happily
we are ok. It came on quick.
