La Reina de Noche; Queen of the night

Flowering kin, she's my sister of might

Born of darkness, meaning good things don't last

Sunset to sunrise, then wither; contrast

Her ivory petals; cherish their sight

I blossom too in the heat of my plight

At the end of the day, out goes the light

An angel's trumpet sounds, "Quick, hurry, fast"

La Reina De Noche

My sister's fragrance is sweet with a bite

Lavender spicy equation; just right

A perfume of freedom is mine; thou hast

One shadow's gifting to a paired outcast

Alone in the night hour, I find light

La Reina De Noche

La Reina De Noche, a finders fate

A twilight flower never born of hate

My sister of flora, we are the same

Emerging from the darkness without shame

Timely persuasion; step up to the plate

Of Spiny stems and a creosote gate

She releases the latch without a mate

The angel's trumpet sounds, "Now, own your name"

La Reina De Noche

A walk among darkness; my finest date

In stillness and silence, I wipe the slate

Needing not a party to stake my claim

Or sunshine and rainbows to fit a frame

Inflorescent, I am; I sing, elate

La Reina De Noche
