Kopfkino in Chaos
A Sonnet

“if men define situations as real, they are real in their consequences” (Thomas and Thomas, The child in America, Knopf, Oxford, 1928, p. 572)

Please spill confessions from your guarded well,
your bucketful of tangled twisted tales,
and spare the vague half-stories that you tell,
for I will fill the gaps beyond your veils
*
with plastic bags and duct tape edged with lace.
I'll chip your glaze and craft an ugly scene,
in sodden soil while tears stream down your face,
of you, your knees in dirt, your nails moss green.
*
I'll fold into myself. I will not eat,
I will not sleep because I’ll see you glow
in sunbeams and I'll mourn who you could be,
just don't tell me a piece, but spill the whole;
*
your truth will purge the dark place of my soul,
of film-reels that have spun out of control.

Thank you for spending a moment with my words. If you like the way I play with letters from the alphabet, I would be honoured to have you as my guest, on my profile, where you can read whatever takes your fancy.

About the Creator
Teresa Renton
Inhaling life, exhaling stories, poetry, prose, flash or fusions. An imperfect perfectionist who writes and recycles words. I write because I love how it feels to make ink patterns & form words, like pictures, on a page.
