Knot

Poetry

By Cheyenne ReuterPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

I reach down my throat

pull my stomach out

give it to you, so you can tie it in a knot

and force it back inside me

through my ear

it presses on my heart, so it beats faster

and compresses my lungs, so I can’t breathe

it blocks the blood flow to my legs

until I collapse, eyes turning black

when it’s finally in place

I’m surrounded by fear

I hate you

I hate you

I do

if you struggle with anxiety, this poem is for you. it is special for you. it is the way i feel and the way i am sure you feel too.
