Kill Your Kain

Short Poem

Cain killed Abel because Abel had been able to live well.

Abel had been living in his heaven by putting up with hell.

Cain had been building his own hell high-up by which he fell.

Abel he saw as being God’s protected one so his brother he would sell.

Cain made the trade of his life for one of his own, a story he could tell,

When the only story told became God’s which he uses to ring our bell:

Always kill your inner Cain, and forever on this lesson you must dwell.
