Keys That Open Darkened Doors

The keys lie waiting.

Metal without warmth.

Silent in the hand.

Heavy as fate.

The doors are darkened.

They hold their breath.

A rusted whisper.

A secret kept.

Turn once, the hinge groans.

Turn twice, it yields.

The space behind it.

Is colder than stone.

What waits is patient.

It does not call.

It does not falter.

It waits for you.

The key is finished.

The hand is marked.

The door is open.

It will not close.
