Years spent pushing everything down with clear poison, now bubbling up to the surface.

Hurt is now pouring down the face of my mother.

Never knowing why when the darkness set in why she was so upset.

What happened to cause these mumbled cries of sorrow?

Wanting to come to lay by her side, but not knowing if that's what was wanted.

It was always when there was just a moment when the world stood completely still.

The moment just before you close your eyes to meet rest.

That is when that still world came tumbling down at my mother's tired feet.

As the night swept away the crumbles that lie, I would tell her a tale about a nightmare.

I'd lay next to my mother, wishing that happiness would arise when the rays of sun met our faces in the morning.
