my mind is busy

thoughts are standing in line

waiting impatiently to be next

but I'm occupied with my

love life

if I actually had one

and what it would look like

someone to build a lifetime with

for however long God deems that to be

to create a partnership with

by keeping the old framework

and making it beautiful by

making it simple

where nothing's perfect

because it's not necessary

or expected to be

where honesty is intimacy

✨

where dreams don't lie in the dust

they're picked up, dusted off and

allowed to breathe and grow

maybe a little person tucked between

✨

a place where dandelions are welcome

✨

a place where it's not about

how much we have

but how much we give away

where ideas and thoughts can have

their own bounce house between us

✨

where nothing is wasted

✨

a safe place

filled with soft blankets

and understanding

✨

where feelings feel safe enough

to come out of hiding

✨

where I finally learn to dance in

the kitchen by the fridge

to music that fills the place

✨

a functional studio where art and music

unapologetically splash the walls

with brilliant hues and notes

with joyful intent

✨

where mission has no limits

✨

and most importantly

✨

where God is the glue

that holds it all together

permeating every fiber

of everything

✨

where life can't even be

imagined without

the presence of the

Father, Son and Spirit.
